The Daanish Schools Authority has approved a special admission quota for students from Bangladesh and increased the existing quota for children from Balochistan.
The decision was taken at a Board of Governors meeting chaired by Punjab Education Minister Rana Sikandar Hayat. According to the official statement, the quota for Bangladeshi students was approved on the directions of Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif and will apply from the next academic year.
Over 1,100 Students Studying Under Special Quotas
The education minister said around 1,100 students from other provinces are currently enrolled in Daanish Schools through special quotas.
The board was also informed that 3,460 Daanish School graduates are working in different professions, while 110 students are receiving fully funded higher education at Beaconhouse University.
AI Curriculum Introduced for Grades 6 to 9
Daanish Schools have introduced an artificial intelligence-based curriculum for students in Grades 6 to 9. The authority is also working on programmes designed to improve students’ communication and social skills.
Other updates presented at the meeting included the establishment of 16 daycare centres at Daanish Schools and Centres of Excellence.
Officials also said around 71,000 planted trees are being digitally mapped and monitored to track their growth and maintenance.
