The Higher Education Commission (HEC) Pakistan has announced scholarship opportunities at the German University of Technology in Oman (GUtech) for international students, including Pakistani applicants. The scholarships are available for the 2026 academic intake.
Scholarship Coverage Details
Undergraduate Excellence Scholarships:
- 10 seats available
- Covers 100% of tuition fees for 4 years
- Requires at least 95% marks in Grade 12 or equivalent
Undergraduate Merit Scholarships:
- 20 seats available
- Covers 50% of tuition fees
- Requires at least 90% marks or equivalent
International Bachelor’s Scholarship:
- Covers up to 20% of tuition fees
- For international Bachelor’s students
DAAD Scholarship:
- Existing self-funded GUtech students may become eligible after completing their first year
- Covers around 50% of tuition
Master’s Scholarships Also Available
GUtech Alumni:
- 50% tuition discount on Master’s programs
- Applies to both local and international alumni
Preferred Partners Programme Employees:
- Up to 30% tuition waiver
- Can reach 50% discount if 3 or more employees from the same organization join in one intake
Eligibility Criteria
For Full Scholarship (Excellence):
- At least 95% in Grade 12
- 37 points in International Baccalaureate
- Two A grades at A-Level*
- 95% under CBSE
For Partial Scholarship (Merit):
- At least 90% in Grade 12
- 36 IB points
- Two A grades at A-Level
- 90% under CBSE
Recipients must maintain a minimum GPA of 3.0 out of 4.0 throughout their studies.
English Language Requirements
English is the main language of instruction at GUtech. Direct admission requires:
- IELTS Academic score of 6.0, OR
- TOEFL iBT score of 76, OR
- Duolingo English Test score of 110
Applicants must also meet the academic and subject requirements of their selected degree program.
