HEC Reschedules LAT for Muzaffarabad Candidates to August 9, 2026

The Higher Education Commission (HEC) has announced a new date for the Law Admission Test (LAT) in Muzaffarabad, Azad Jammu and Kashmir.

New Test Date

  • Original Date: Sunday, June 21, 2026
  • Revised Date: Sunday, August 9, 2026

The change applies only to candidates who selected Muzaffarabad, AJ&K as their test city. It does NOT affect:

  • Candidates appearing in other cities
  • The next nationwide LAT session

Revised Roll Number Slips

  • HEC will issue revised roll number slips on Friday, July 31, 2026
  • Candidates can download their slips by signing in to their profiles on the ETC portal

What Candidates Should Do

  • Download and print your roll number slip before the test
  • Check the ETC portal regularly for any further updates
  • Verify test venue, reporting time, and instructions on the slip
  • Prepare all required documents and identification for test day

Who Is Affected

Only candidates who chose Muzaffarabad as their test city need to worry about the date change. Everyone else appearing in other cities of Pakistan should follow their originally scheduled dates.

For LAT candidates in AJK, this extra time can be used for final revision. Make sure to log in to the ETC portal on July 31 to grab your updated slip so there’s no confusion on August 9.
