PIEAS Awards Degrees to 270 Graduates at 12th Convocation

The Pakistan Institute of Engineering and Applied Sciences held its 12th Convocation on July 22, 2026, awarding degrees to 270 graduates in engineering, science and technology disciplines.

PAEC Chairman and PIEAS Board of Governors Chairman Dr Raja Ali Raza Anwar attended as chief guest and conferred degrees on graduates of Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Materials and Metallurgy Engineering, Physics, and Computer and Information Sciences.

Graduates Encouraged to Become Job Creators

Addressing the ceremony, Dr Anwar encouraged graduates to pursue research, innovation and emerging technologies while maintaining professional integrity.

He also urged young engineers and scientists to consider entrepreneurship instead of limiting their ambitions to traditional employment.

PIEAS Rector Dr Anila Usman said the university remains focused on industry-ready education, advanced research and stronger links between academia and employers.

She also noted that PIEAS reached 560th position globally in the QS World University Rankings 2027 and ranked among Pakistan’s leading universities.

The convocation was attended by PAEC officials, faculty members, scientists, graduates and their families. PIEAS is a federal public university specialising in engineering, natural sciences and formal sciences.
