The Punjab School Education Department has decided not to deduct the conveyance allowance of 35,000 government teachers attending the English Language Proficiency Course during the summer holidays.
Normally, teachers’ conveyance allowance is deducted during the vacation period. However, participants in the special training programme have been exempted because they continued travelling to training centres during the holidays.
Authorities Told to Submit Teacher Data
All District Education Authorities have been directed to prepare complete lists of participating teachers and immediately send the data to the Finance Department.
The step is intended to ensure that eligible teachers receive their full allowance without payment delays.
The training programme was launched to improve the English-language skills of government school teachers across Punjab and covers around 35,000 participants.
Teachers should ensure that their names and employment details are correctly included in the lists submitted by their respective district authorities.
