The Punjab Education Curriculum Training and Assessment Authority (PECTAA) has announced the schedule for the Large-Scale Assessment (LSA-2026) for Grade 4 students across selected schools in Punjab.
According to the official notification issued on May 6, the assessment will be conducted in schools operating under multiple education systems across the province.
Schools Included in the Assessment
The assessment will take place in selected institutions under:
- School Education Department Punjab
- Punjab Education Foundation
- Punjab Education Management Authority
- Literacy & Non-Formal Basic Education schools
- Special Education Department institutions
- District Public Schools (DPS)
- Registered private schools
Grade 4 Assessment Schedule 2026
PECTAA has released the following subject-wise schedule:
- 📘 May 11 — Mathematics
- 📘 May 12 — Urdu
- 📘 May 13 — English
- 📘 May 14 — Listening, Dictation, Reading & Speaking Assessment
- 📘 May 18 — Science
Assessment Timings
- ⏰ Most papers: 8:30 AM to 12:00 PM
- ⏰ Mathematics paper: 9:00 AM to 12:30 PM
Each assessment paper will have a duration of approximately three and a half hours.
Purpose of the Assessment
Officials said the LSA-2026 will be conducted on a sample-based model to evaluate the learning outcomes and academic performance of Grade 4 students across Punjab.
The assessment aims to help education authorities identify strengths and gaps in student learning for future educational planning.
