Thousands of students seeking admission to Intermediate Part-I in government colleges across Karachi are still waiting to apply after the admission process failed to start on the announced date.
Under the Sindh Electronic Centralized College Admission Program (SECCAP), online registrations for first-year admissions were scheduled to begin on:
đź“… June 1, 2026
However, the admission portal has yet to become operational, delaying the application process for approximately 125,000 students across the city.
SECCAP Portal Not Available
Earlier, admission advertisements published on May 23 informed students that online registration would remain open from:
- đź“… June 1, 2026
- đź“… July 15, 2026
Despite the announcement, students have been unable to submit applications due to technical issues affecting the SECCAP portal.
The delay has created uncertainty for matric students waiting to secure admission in government colleges for the new academic session.

Every year, government colleges in Karachi offer admissions through SECCAP in the following streams:
- ⚙️ Pre-Engineering

According to Professor Zahid Rajper, the portal is currently unavailable because of technical problems.
He stated that the technical team is working to restore the system and expressed hope that the portal would become functional soon, allowing students to begin the admission process.
