The Board of Intermediate and Secondary Education Swat has officially declared the SSC Annual-I (Matric) Examination Result 2026. Out of 46,484 candidates who appeared across the Swat, Buner, and Shangla region, 36,639 passed, putting the overall pass percentage at 78.82%.
The result was announced on 5 August 2026, and this year’s numbers show a familiar pattern seen across KPK boards: the Science group posted a much stronger performance than the Arts group, and girls outperformed boys in both streams.

The same three students listed above also topped the Science group specifically, since the overall position holders this year all came from Science. Sohana Ahmad’s 1161 marks made her the highest scorer across the entire board.

What stands out in the Arts group is that all three position holders were private candidates from Shangla district, rather than students of a regular institution. This is a notable detail, since private candidates typically compete against a much larger pool of regularly enrolled students.

The Science group alone accounted for over 90% of all candidates this year, which explains why its performance carries so much weight in the overall pass percentage.
Category-Wise Performance
Within the Science group, regular boys recorded a 79.33% pass rate, with 21,825 out of 27,510 candidates passing. Regular girls performed notably better, with 11,521 out of 12,969 passing for an 88.83% pass rate. Among private candidates, boys managed a 62.28% pass rate while private girls achieved 76.76%.
The Humanities group told a different story. Only 4,335 candidates appeared, and 2,218 passed, for a 51.16% pass rate. Regular boys in this group passed at 52.17%, regular girls at 60.96%, private boys at just 40.84%, and private girls at 57.59%.
Across both groups, one trend repeats consistently: girls outperformed boys in every single category, regular or private, Science or Arts.
Grade Distribution
Looking at the overall grade breakdown, 9,766 students secured A-1 grades, while 11,434 obtained A grades. A further 9,859 candidates earned B grades, 4,850 secured C grades, 729 achieved D grades, and only one candidate fell into the E grade category.
