More than 86,000 students secured A-1 and A grades in the Karachi Board Matric Science Group Exams 2026, according to results announced by the Board of Secondary Education Karachi (BSEK).
The results of the Secondary School Certificate (SSC) Part-II Annual Examinations 2026 showed that 141,688 candidates passed all papers, while 29,655 students failed. The overall pass percentage stood at 80.87%.
Over 35,500 Students Secure A-1 Grade
According to the grade-wise result statistics, 35,529 students obtained the A-1 grade, while another 51,022 candidates secured A grades.

Combined, 86,551 students achieved A-1 or A grades in this year’s Science Group examinations.
Karachi Matric Science Group Position Holders
Mohammad Azlan Syed of Falcon House Grammar School, North Karachi, secured the first position with 94.55% marks.
Rija Kamran of Apex School, Model Colony, stood second with 94%, while Ayesha Adnan of Usman Public School Campus 1, North Karachi, secured the third position with 93.91%.
Top Students Receive Cash Prizes
During a ceremony at the BSEK conference hall, the board presented cash awards to the top position holders.
- First position: Rs. 200,000
- Second position: Rs. 150,000
- Third position: Rs. 100,000
Merit certificates were also awarded to high-performing students from the Science Group, General Group, and special students.
Over 175,000 Students Appeared in Exams
BSEK Controller of Examinations Ahmed Khan Chhutto said 176,152 candidates registered for the Science Group examinations.
Of these, 175,200 students appeared, including 91,481 male and 84,671 female candidates.
