Khyber Medical University (KMU) has announced the Summer Internship Program 2026 at its Institute of Pathology & Diagnostic Medicine (IPDM), offering practical training opportunities in eight major diagnostic and research laboratories.
The internship is aimed at medical laboratory students and professionals seeking hands-on experience and an opportunity to strengthen their technical laboratory skills.
Hands-On Laboratory Training
According to IPDM, participants will receive practical training under the supervision of experienced faculty in a modern diagnostic and research environment.
The program includes:
- Laboratory exposure
- Rotation orientation
- Training in relevant laboratory sections
- Practical technical skill development
Successful participants will also receive a certificate after completing the internship.
8 Labs Available for Internship
The KMU Summer Internship Program will offer training in the following laboratories:
- Microbiology Lab
- Molecular Biology Lab
- Sequencing Lab
- Chemical Pathology Lab
- Hematology Lab
- Histopathology Lab
- BRMTC
- Blood Bank
Candidates will gain exposure to diagnostic and research procedures relevant to their selected laboratory areas.
Internship Duration and Fee
The internship program will run for two to three months.
Participants will be required to pay a career development contribution of Rs. 10,000 per month.
Limited Seats Available
IPDM has advised interested candidates to register as early as possible because limited seats are available for the internship program.
