The Punjab School Education Department has announced a new E-Transfer round for teachers who have recently been promoted or are awaiting postings. This gives eligible candidates another opportunity to complete the posting process.
What the New Round Offers
According to a notification issued on July 31, 2026, the competent authority has approved the E-Transfer round to:
- Facilitate the actualization of promotions
- Complete postings for teachers who missed the earlier round
- Give eligible candidates a fresh chance to secure their preferred posting
Complete Schedule
| Activity | Date |
|---|---|
| Submission of E-Transfer Applications | August 3 to 5, 2026 |
| Verification of Documents | August 6 to 7 |
| Concerns Raised by Applicants | August 8 |
| Posting Orders Issued | August 11, 2026 |
Instructions for Teachers
The department has issued clear instructions:
- All Chief Executive Officers (District Education Authorities) must ensure promoted teachers are properly tagged on the School Information System (SIS)
- Teachers must submit their preferences within the deadline
- Missing the process could result in automatic assignment
Automatic Posting for Non-Compliant Teachers
The department has warned that:
- Promoted teachers who fail to receive a posting order because they submit fewer preferences than required, or do not submit any preference, will be posted by the department through the SIS Portal against any available vacant post
- The same rule applies to teachers awaiting postings
- If they don’t provide required preferences, the department will assign them to any available vacant position
In simple words, submit your preferences on time or the system will decide your posting for you.
What Teachers Should Do
If you are:
- Recently promoted, OR
- Awaiting a posting
You should:
- Log in to the E-Transfer portal between August 3 and 5
- Submit all required preferences carefully
- Prepare your documents for the verification stage
- Attend the concerns hearing on August 8 if you have issues
- Wait for the final posting orders on August 11
Why This Round Matters
For thousands of teachers stuck in transfer limbo, this is a critical window to:
- Move closer to home
- Secure a better school posting
- Complete the promotion process officially

Don’t wait till the last day. Submit your application early, provide multiple preferences, and make sure your documents are ready for verification. Missing this deadline could mean waiting several more months for the next opportunity.
