The Punjab School Education Department has announced merit-based recruitment for administrative positions in government schools, inviting eligible teachers to apply for posts of Headmaster, Senior Headmaster, and Principal.
According to the department, the recruitment process will be conducted through a transparent and competitive system based on written tests and interviews.
Posts Open for Recruitment
Applications have been invited for the following positions:
- 👨‍🏫 Headmaster (Grade 17)
- 👨‍🏫 Senior Headmaster (Grade 18)
- 👨‍🏫 Principal (Grades 19 and 20)
The appointments will be made in government high and higher secondary schools across Punjab.
Minimum Experience Requirement
According to the official notification, candidates must have:
đź“Ś At least five years of teaching or administrative experience
along with meeting the prescribed eligibility criteria for their respective posts.
Written Test and Interview Mandatory
Applicants will be required to appear in a written examination covering:
- Basic IT skills
- Government rules and regulations
- Teaching and administrative competencies
Candidates who qualify for the written test will be called for interviews as part of the final selection process.
Applications to Be Submitted Through HRMS Portal
The department has clarified that applications will only be accepted online through the:

No TA/DA for Test and Interview
Officials further stated that:

to candidates appearing for the written test or interview.
