Punjab Receives First 30,000 Laptops Under Phase 2 of CM Laptop Scheme

The Punjab government has moved ahead with the second phase of the Chief Minister’s Laptop Scheme, with the first batch of 30,000 laptops arriving in the province for distribution among eligible students.

The announcement was made by Punjab Education Minister Rana Sikandar Hayat, who said the initiative is part of the government’s broader plan to promote digital learning and improve access to technology in higher education.

Over 70,000 Laptops to Be Distributed This Year

According to the minister, Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz has approved the distribution of more than 70,000 laptops to students during the current year.

With the arrival of the first shipment, the government is expected to begin the next phase of laptop distribution after completing the necessary administrative process.
